About the OSU - Mexico Liaison Office
The OSU-Mexico Liaison Office (MLO) was established in 2006 to expand the number of OSU students participating in educational programs in Mexico, advance bilateral exchange between the United States and Mexico and increase the number of Mexican students enrolled at OSU. The MLO supports the academic programs and contacts of OSU Colleges and departments in Mexico. The Office acts as a connection between OSU and Mexican Universities, Institutions and Government; and hosts and co-hosts students, faculty and administrators in Mexico and Oklahoma to promote collaboration and a better cultural understanding.
The OSU-Mexico Liaison Office is part of the School of International Studies within International Education and Outreach. Its main mission is to pursue and support academic, cultural, and business exchange programs between the Oklahoma State University system and Mexico.
Goals
- Expanding teaching, research and outreach opportunities for OSU students, faculty and staff in Mexico
- Developing study abroad and other academic exchange programs with Mexican universities and institutions
- Increasing the numbers of Mexican nationals attending OSU and the numbers of OSU students attending Mexican universities
- Promoting linkages with Mexico’s businesses and governmental agencies to provide exchanges, trade opportunities and economic development initiatives.
The OSU - Mexico Liaison Office provides a university-wide focus to expand international opportunities in instruction, research and outreach for individuals and organizations seeking greater understanding and involvement in international affairs. Oklahoma State University is committed to the internationalization of higher education as well as building better relationships with Mexico.
